What is QbCheck?
A patient guide to objective ADHD assessment
As part of your ADHD evaluation, your provider may recommend QbCheck — an FDA-cleared computerized assessment that provides objective information about your attention, activity level, and impulse control.
QbCheck is not a diagnostic test by itself. It is one tool your provider uses alongside your interview, symptom history, rating scales, and clinical evaluation to help determine the most accurate diagnosis.
Why might I be offered QbCheck?
- Additional objective information would be helpful
- Your symptoms are more complex
- There is uncertainty about the diagnosis
- A baseline assessment is desired before treatment
- We want to objectively monitor treatment progress over time
How does it work?
You will complete a brief computerized task from home using a compatible computer and webcam. The assessment measures:
Attention
Focus & sustained concentration
Activity
Movement & restlessness
Impulse Control
Response inhibition & planning
Your provider will review the results together with all other clinical information before making any diagnostic or treatment recommendations.
Is QbCheck required?
No. QbCheck is an optional assessment that may be recommended when your provider believes it would add value to your evaluation.
Cost
QbCheck is currently offered as an optional self-pay service. Payment is required before testing. Your provider or our office staff can answer any questions about current pricing.
